Frog Eating Trevs

Did a trip down the coast last night and scored a heap of bigeye trevs 2-3kgs. Started off with poppers 120mm bubblepops and scored a few but then the weed moved in. Changed to weedless frogs so as not to have trebbles fouling with weed floating on the top and it worked a treat with the first cast getting hammered off the top. Continued for a fair while until i ran out of froggies and called it quits after scoring a dozen or more. Great fun. Ben

awsome work mate. i love useing frogs, there so much fun. i have not even had a hit on them yet but just skip casting and watching how far you can skim them and how they flutter on the surface when ya ripping them in, its a hell of a lot of fun. and i no its only a matter of time before a fish gets agro and smashes my fleeing froggy. ya got this surface bizness down pat dont ya, i love it, keep em coming mate.

I wonder when baby ducks, instead of froggies, will be the rage!!

they use ducklings often in Europe for huge pike

Ta guys,Yeah nuggs Love the surface fishing myself. Yella they do pull very hard . I lost 2 poppers last night to a couple of bigger beasts on 30lb. Dicer dont know if i could bring myself to pin a live duck on and piff him out. Read a fishing mag a while ago about fishing in Russia and they used dead squirrels rigged up as surface poppers to catch some huge fish. Ben
