Went to baffle on the weekend for really about a day and a half of fishing. Only been there once before and stayed way upstream at ferry crossing this time we stay a fair bit further downstream so fishing new ground.
Went alright not the best for Baffle though, ended up with about 6 jacks, a gt and what seemed like 1000 cods (about 10 -12). The biggest jack going 50cm which was caught in one of the other boats and a big live mullet.
There were three boats, two bait and me with lures. After about ten thousand casts My boat ended up with three jacks, a gt and about 5 cod. Only fished daylight hours, so prob could of caught alot more fish if i fished livies at night. But much rather fish lures at day and not catch as much then fish at night.
The gt and two jacks were caught on tilsan barras and one jack was caught was on a popper (first for me, but plenty more to come hopefully this summer, they smash the lure on the surface, also miss a few fish on the surface) also dropped al lot of fish on the prawnstar fishing deep rock.
All in all it was an aweosme few days, although the fishing could have been better.
