Hi All,
This is my first post/report so take it easy on me!
Had my first Hinchinbrook experience on the weekend and I'm hooked! What a beautiful part of the country. A bit tricky to navigate around and crossing the channel was a bit of a challenge in the 4m tinny but we managed. Fishing isn't as easy these days with a 10 month crawling around the boat and the dog running around chasing flys but we managed to boat the two target species.
The 48cm Barra came curtosy of Lou from Lucinda Lures who sold me a hinchinbrook hunter in his favourite color (these lures have a serious action!). After throwing a few old favourites I decided to give the hunter a run and within 30m of back I was on!
The 42cm Jack came curtosy of Tim (on this site) on a little red shad (went through a packet!). I saw something smash the surface on some ground we had just covered so I threw back and dropped it on the spot where the boil was. I shad must had landed into his mouth!
There's a lot of country up there left of explore and I can't wait to get back!

Great stuff DexyBoy,
I told you those red shads are Jack lollies. You'll have to get back there soon, it's a great part of the world.
Tim
