    Saltist Capacity

Can anyone tell me how much braid they have fitted on their Saltist 20 or 30. I want to fit 300m of 24 kg

    Cheers

    Re: Saltist Capacity

    i have the 30TH.

after 80ms of 50lb mono backing and 300m of 50lb jigman ive still got a fair bit of room left on the spool.

sorry horse a little off topic, but, is anyone else having troubles with the anti-reverse? also, water seems to penetrate the real easily (easier than other reals I have had in the past) so keep it out of the spray if possible.

I played with one in a BCF store and it had a noise when engaging the gears. Anyone else had any issues?

    Re: Saltist Capacity

I've got the 50TH(Had it for ~12months), been rock solid...accounted for some decent fish, get's a good soaking of spray on most outings(Always give it a good going over with fresh water after each trip though)

btw - Noise you were hearing may have been due to no load/weight on spool - Check this thread out:

all the saltist ive had a play/used do it.

im not sure exactly.. but ive always just assumed that it was just becuase of the such heavy gearing to engage the spool.
