Been around since 1964 so i would doubt they are crap. Would like to see one.
a friend of mine just got one from allmond (Sri Lanka) 2months ago, they kept him up to date with all parts of the shipping and emailed him on loading etc with a tracking number
it arrived before due and was exactly as described if you like I can get some pics of it now they have done a few mods
he now has a 22ft boat with an 80 4st Yamaha (local buy for warrantee) and trailer bought local as well fully set up around 30,000
he is extremely happy he got the 22 extreme delivered to Bris and it included console fuel tank and is built like a tank
I have been into longboats for 30 years and I think they are a good product and even now with the drop in the AD they are still good value
PM me if you want to talk to him about the importing we have also tossed up about bringing 3 or 4 over because of the massive savings
cheers

I would hope in the end, quality is the verdict. So far we have sold only a couple of the Panga boats in Australia. This was one of then mentioned, it is the 22 high side on this link. http://www.allmandboats.com/images/22hiside/index1.html
We get many visitors andinquiries from Australia from Queensland to Perth, so far only a couple have been ordered.
Webuild our boats in China and ten years ago that would have been a mark against us. But over the past few years things have changed. One of the most important change is fiberglass materials. Years ago all the best fiberglass material was made in the U.S.A., Germany, and Canada. Then the Chinese began making fiberglass materials. Starting about four years ago most all fiberglass was being made inChina. The Chinese did not do this on their own. Companies from the west moved their production there to save costs. One of the largest fiberglass manufacturer in the U.S. is called Gibson. Many well known boat builders use Gibson Fiberglass.
About over six years ago Gibson had a Chinese factory make their fiberglass so they could save costs. Last year that same Chinese factory bought Gibson. Today the Chinese have taken over the market, which brings me to why building our boats in China has its advantages. First, when fiberglass material expires it absorbs moistureand becomes stiff and inhibits resin infusion. This causes problems. These expired materials are sold or given away to third world countries where timber is no longer an economic option for boat building. They local builders build fiberglass boats for village fishermen who cannot afford new material. The problems start when some smart guy imports boats made in third world countries for poor fisherman then sells them as first quality. That is where the crap will come into play.
What better placeto make boats than where all fiberglass is manufactured? We buy direct from themills before anyone in the west receives supply. We also buy for less than it costs when it is shipped to the west and suppliers add their costs and profit which is one reason out boats can sell for less. Not because they are made in third world country.
Regarding crap, it is one thing to sell cheap boats claiming they are high quality. It is another matter to make the honest mistake trying to accommodate a buyer who asks for a cheap boat, pays a cheap boat price, then gets the cheap boat they asked for, and then complains to everyone they got a cheap boat. We stopped answering emails from buyers who ask for a cheap boat. We found when a buyer asks for a cheap boat, what they really expect is a high quality boat that magically can be sold for less than it cost to build.
a question to Panga.
The 700a ,when the fuel tank option is added where is the tank placed? Also what material is tank made from?
Thinking of adding my 60 suk (07)mod to one of these.
thanks
G'day
Don't know about you lot but i'd jump on one of these waayyyy before a NBI.

Fuel tank is inside the right or left side rear storage and holds 20 gal. There is also a narrow area under the deck for a fuel tank for about 15 gallons. Tanks are made from aluminum. We offer making the hull bottom 16 to 18 mm thick and the sides 6 to 8 mm thick.
this is this bare hull model for 5500 (Aussie Dollars) with console and driver seat Add Shipping abut 3000.00 per container
