Never mind the boat, I almost broached and pooped myself watching that!

This clown's scrotum is big enough and his pukker hole doesn't seal tight enough for that sort of caper.

I would need to wear a nappy to do that. How he recovered from the broach on the second wave is beyond me. Pretty good skills on behalf of the skipper.

    Re: Bar Crossing

With a displacement boat it really shows how hard it is to make way when there is all that water going out underneath you in between sets unike a planing boat where you can try and keep on the back of a wave.

Thats a pretty big boat and that surf is travelling fast with a lot of depth in those waves and even witha full keel the boat pretty much broaches.

Hope there was enough fish in the hold to pay for some new undies and a stiff scotch

    Re: Bar Crossing

I lived at Evans Head in northern NSW for a short while when I was younger and surfed a lot. Saw a few trawlers broach trying to get in and a couple of yachts washed up on the beach when they missed the mouth and tried to turn around. Gotta play safe on bars!

Most of the boats weight was in exactally the right spot , that's why he recovered
