    a bit more propaganda

Recieved my local paper today and the front cover tells me bramble bay has been upgraded to a C in the healthy waterways program, this is a good thing for sure,no arguments.
The bit that gets me is in the second paragraph of the article the reporter states and I quote conversationists expect the health of the water to improve with the introduction of a conservation park zone in hays inlet(For those who dont know hays inlet drains into bramble bay.
Now correct me if I am wrong but the conservation zone stops fishing only not other activities which may take place there.
The problem here is our local media is being led by the nose and the general public will not know any better.
The article continues on page two and the real reason for the improvement is uncovered in the last paragraph of the article where the mayor points out the millions spent by the council on sewrage upgrades means a much cleaner discharge.
I will send a letter to the editor of the herald and question why green propaganga gets a front page run and facts get a poor second on this matter.
As Lucky Phill has already said the fight just gets harder.

Yep, keep on their case Craig.

As people will be asked soon, simply write a letter a week to the local paper / editor. These letters will be assisted by SOBA in regard to content, but simply asking questions like you propose to do will good.
