Hey all I had the boat in the water by 5.30 and headed to the future green zone around Redcliffe/Woodypoint to join about half a dozen other boats with not much happening for most of the morning, went for a cruze out to the wave rider bouy(the one in the bay) to have a look but nothing there either it was getting a bit choppy for my 4m tinnie so headed back in to kill some more time trying various different spots around the point ,got a visit from fisheries they had a look in the esky and then he told me I'd need flares if I was any further out than I was ,he then told me about smooth water and partial smooth water where they consider it changes about 900meters from the shoreline ,Ive got to look into that further, well 1 last try was needed and as it had now almost glassed out I through out the pick, chucked out a bait, changed to a 1/4 jig head on my plastics rod and setteled in for one last effort ,Now fishing plastics has been frustrating for me to say the least Ive got the right gear a great assortment of plastics and jig heads different types of leaders and untill today ive never really been a big fan till I nailed these 2 beautys within 10 minutes of each other the second fish caught I actually saw him hit the jig as it was almost beside the boat,so at the moment im quite happy ive invested in these funny little placky things.Cheers Snas
