Thread: Okuma Alpha V @ 35KG of drag?

Question Okuma Alpha V @ 35KG of drag?

Anyone ever seen this reel? It's different than the regular V line that ends at V-80. The Alpha V is only two models, 1000 & 16000, and they are not sold out of Taiwan

    any information would be appreciated.

35kg of drag can't be right. No way anyone could fish that much drag standing up anyway. Wonder how long it would last if the drag was locked up at 35kg?

    Mule dung IMHO

    Cheap knock-off of a stella.

I agree with Jeremy. Probably a typo, should be 3.5kg drag, considering they're rating the line capacity as 210m of 12lb for the larger size.
