Looking to get another overhead rod and reel.

Our boat is a Sea Jay Angler 3.95 which will soon have a 30 HP Mercury 4 stroke on it. We use it as a roof topper and our favourite fishing area is NT and the Gulf. Being a small boat, most of our fishing is in the rivers and estuaries, but we venture out a bit when conditions are good.

Current overheads we have are:
Curado with Barra Raider for Barra and similar lure fishing. Wife also has a Curado with Penn Powerpoint. We also use these for trolling.
Citica with Bass Raider for Bass and light lure fishing. Wife uses Penn Ixorne for this fishing.
Charter Special with 'cheapy' rod for live baiting. Wife also has the same set up.

I'm looking to get a better set up for live baiting. Want something that can handle big barra, threadies etc. Also want to be able to cast with it (unlike the Charter Special). I'll occasionally use it off the bank when we are in a suitable camp spot. This year I got a 95cm barra and a 1.5m (yes 1.5m) Groper (which was naturally released) off the bank in the McArthur River.

You might notice that all my overheads are level winds. Never used an overhead without level wind. But I'm prepared to start if that is what it takes to get the right set up.

I have my eye on either a Shimano Torium (16 or 20) or a Diawa Saltist (probably a 30T). I also liked the look of the Shimano Tyrnos, but not sure what it would be like for casting. Any thoughts on these reels or others?

Be nice to match it with a T Curve or something similar (not sure which one though.

Prepared to spend up to $500. I've found the Torium on the web for $249 and the Saltist for $269 (I'll try to get a local tackle store to match that. So I'll have around $250 available for the rod. I've seen the T Curve Tournament rods for $229. Also on the net, I saw a T Curve Tyrnos for $149 (sounds cheap), but I'm not familiar with this rod.

If T Curve, which one? If not, which rod do you suggest on this budget.

Thanks guys. Never had a set up quite like the one I propose before, so any advice would be welcomed.
