    Re: Alutecnos

I run 5 x alutecnos albacores on my light tackle outfits, these are matched with custom garry howard rods built on 8kg calstar blanks.

They are a very sweet reel!! I set my drags at 3.6 kg on strike and 5 kg on sunset ( 8KG LINE ) AND HAVE NO ISSUE FIGHTING ON SUNSET AT ALL!!!

My mate roota ( thunder bird ) runs thenm aswell and has his set at 4kg strike and recently had a striped marlin on for over 2 hrs fighting it at sunset on the reel at over 5 kg of drag, the 8 kg line didn't fail the leader wore through!

They have a very very smooth drag that doesn't change during the fight , i would highly recomend them to anyone!

    Ps.

I was on a boat last year that had

    4x 130's
    5x 80's
    5x50's
    5x 20's
    4x 16's

All there rods were also custom made with alutecnos guides, nice to have money!
Alcohol doesn't agree with me, but i sure do enjoy the argument!!!

Thanks guys. Looking at a couple of Gorillas 20s for general bottom bouncing/trolling.
