Yeah its happened to me a few time when ive ben typing reports i must say it is really frustrating. Thanks for asking the question Brian.
It's because the page auto loads some of its info every little while, this is fine without the bug, this bug will half way through the forced partial refresh consider your cursor as no longer in the typing field....sooooo that input you type which is in keeping with the word processing field gets carried out as if your cursor is no longer in the field but on the page proper. Bang!! post gone forever.
To stop it you need to stop the forced partial refresh whenever you plan to post something.
cheers fnq

With firefox,I havn't had any problems. You may have a bug thats making you log back on . I'm on auto logon and to date no problems .
cheers Terry
Type a reply into notepad or word then copy and paste it into the forum.
I have had this a couple of times, I am running the latest version of IE.
When I know I am going to be doing a fair amount of typing I tend to do it in word first to save loosing my work from what I have seen it happens due to a Internet connection failure or timeout witch isn't Ausfish's fault.
cheers
Brandon...
I used to get hat a lot as well, but as Steve said, downloading hte latest IE or Firefox got rid of the problem.
i get it all the time... i'm scared to press the backspace key because then you go back like 10 pages.
i'm running latest version of IE.
steve, is it a bug with the scripting on this site... can the problem be rectified for the majority of people.
LG what kind of internet connection do you have? if its ADSL, does it appear to be fairly quick? If not then that is probably the problem mate Easy fix is to use word then paste the text into the box and hit post
LG, I would recommend downloading and using firefox, leaves IE for dead in the speed stakes and easier to use. Does microsoft ever get anything right?
The latest version of Internet Exploder is Version 8 Beta 2.
You can get it from here - http://www.microsoft.com/windows/pro...e/default.mspx
Or download Firefox here - http://getfirefox.com/
