Hi all,
I took the family out to have a fish in a whiting comp over the weekend in the pumistone passage. We ended up with 9 decent Bream but couldnt get a bloody legal whiting at all! The biggest whiting of the day was 40.8 and that team also got 2 other whiting 40cm! Biggest bream was a tad over 40cm too (not mine )
The weather today was beautiful, it was a pleasure to be out there.

My son and I also fished the Whiting Classic on the weekend and had a great time. Our 39.5 cm Whiting didn't get a look in . Those winning Whiting were awesome . Congratulations must go to the guys from Superior for organising a great family event and to all the sponsors for their generous prizes. Look forward to having another go next year . Well done guys.
I saw a mob of guys at the Donnybrook boatramp who had maybe 50 to 70 of the biggest Summerys I've ever seen.
I don't know if they were in a comp as they were filleting them, but the biggest ones were between 45 to 50 cm, and they had heaps of them.
All they would tell me is they were caught north of Donnybrook (a fair area that) and they used worms.
If anyone can help me catch a feed of these, please PM me.

Yeah Coochin they really put on a good weekend. It was my first comp and while we were never going to be in the running for prizes, we had a ball nonetheless.
Im keen to head back up there in a couple of weeks to have another shot, there were certainly some very nice fish around.
The guys at superior put a whole lot of work into the weekend, i was blown away by how many prizes were on offer!
