Just do a search on this site using 'Somerset' and you'll get plenty of info.

As far as permits, you'll need both a SIP (Stocked Impoundment Permit) and a boating permit.

Plenty of places to fish mate. Launch at Kirkleigh and they will give you a map and some directions when you buy the boating permit. They also have lures at a reasonable price. there is no drum like local drum.

I like the masked jackalls, slidders on a slow retrieve or ice jigs over schools if you can find them. When you pick your spot glide don't plough around then wonder why they are gone.

At certain times of the year you can drop baits or sinking lures to the base of the big standing trees and add a little movement.

It is not happening at present but it will come good before long.

    Good luck.
