    baitboards

been looking at getting a baitboard for a while and have checked out all the standard brands that are around but none of these really suit. Thinking of getting one custom made and have been given a few options from mates,Bush 2 Beach custom aluminium at kippa-ring and a bloke David McKenzie from north lakes who works out of his shed.If anyone has had work done by these or has had bait boards custom made any info would be greatly appreciated

    thanks

    Re: baitboards

Nev, I had one custom made by Rod at Baitmate bait board. Have a look at his website http://www.baitmate.com.au/index.html He's at Greenbank & his contact details are on the website. Powder coated ally, good workmanship, reasonable pricing. I'd recommend him. Got one draw with mine, the rod holders & the live bait tank. You can mix & match to your requirements.

    cheers, HR

yeah i have two baitmates on my tinnie , no probs at all with them , i found it hard to find one for my for my 4.2 tinnnie that would fit inbetween my seating position and the bimini ,but we talked and came up with the two little baitboards i have now, great work

    Re: baitboards

I also got Rod at baitmate to make me up a board. Great value and by custom design I got exactly what I wanted. If you are going to get a board done I think you would be mad not to get a custom job. Rod has photo's of my board on his site. It is the one with " long legs " and a drawer sitting above a mariner motor on a kevlacat suncoaster with a green trim.

agree I am planning a Baitmate also...see them at the shows, well made and well priced. $500 for the standard one you get from dealers dont do it for me at all for value.

Looks good - watch your motor near the bait board when you raise it right up - just in case. Enjoy it.

    Hi
I will send you a PM and give you the name of the guy who made it. He's on the Gold Coast but sure we could work on freight if you need it sent. He will make anything to your specs.
The photo i have attached is of another he made. Great Board as well but not how i wanted it so he made me another one.

Will let you know in a day or so his details.

No worries. have a chat to Darren and remember stainless is $$$$. The cost of the one I didn't want was around 500 and I think the one I settled on was about 6, but I expected that seeing it was Custom made and to my specifications.

Trouble is there aren't enough people about that make them.
Let me know how you go
