yep, certainly can eat them, and indeed they are sought after in some locations, often referred to as "Sabre tooth Whiting" by the jokers around, but they are OK, but they do stink (but then again so do Jewfish) so give them a try, there is no more bones than any other Fish, so forget that argument, next time you catch some, try them and make up your own mind, most of these "can't eat them" stories are just historical and no one has actualy tried them to make a true informed opinion! I remember not too long ago when Kingfish was almost classed as inedible, but now they are high on the list of Fish eaters.
