the old passage has a variety of fish,,,, and if you dont pick a particular one,,, you'll get bombarded with plenty of pickers
we had a good day tho,,,, threw back about 20 or so bream,,, some were legal,,, a lot weren't,,,got a few flounder and again,, under size,,, 4 flatties that were also very flat,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, but we kept the calamari
ended up with 15 good size squidies,,, all caught on the rise,,, and yeh,, all caught on real bait
tried flicking a few artificials at em,,, but we were in one and half metres of water and kept pulling in weed,,, so reverted back to a real prawn with a stinger in its tail,,, very surprised to see em,,, but not regretting it,,, mrs choppa is currently cooking the evidence
we had a visit from fisheries in the passage as well,,, hence the post header,,, there wasn't a great deal of traffic about,,, but they waved the hand and made their presence felt,,,, (made me check the rego,,,, safe 'til 9th of next month,,, knew it was close),,,, but they hung around for 3/4 's of the day and escorted me back to the ramp actually,,,
we cleaned a few cobwebs out of the tinny,,,, gave it a run to cooks,,,, buckleys,,, gallaghers,,, ningi creek,,, ,,,,,,,,,, got a bit burnt,,, got a bit thirsty,,,, came home
