Depends on what way you look at it.
To buy one... Not much
To repair on... LOTS.
What would you expect to pay for a late model Land Rover Discovery.
Auto Petrol and no later then 2006 with low klms.
Thanks
Troy

thats ill informed if you are suggesting that they are dearer or more costly to run than other large 4wds
Troy,
Just out of interest why wouldn't you consider the diesel. The D3 TDV6 is one hell of a motor.
Brett
Brett,
I would consider a diesel but i am just curious as what i would pay for a late model as a few years ago i owned a a Discovery and from memory i think it was a V8 petrol.
When i went to trade it the resale value was a shooker, yet i could not fault the Discovery and would own one tomorrow but i could not afford a brand new one.
I Would like to get a late model one say 2006 onwards but i do not know what i would pay for one and is the re sale value still bad.
I think they are a top class wagon.
Troy
Are there many good late models down south as i am from Nth Qld and not much about up here.
Thanks
Troy
Mate in all honesty I can't remember ever actually seeing a late model D3 second hand around the place.
Not many - if any - were bought for fleet and with private buyers tending to have hung on to them at only a few years of age there are few around.
If you can find one - you could do a lot worse in the 4WD market.
Good luck.
Brett.
PS I nearly bought one - diesel - then drove the Rangie Sport with the same motor. It was like a sports car and then I couldn't go back to the D3. You may find some rangie sports with the same motor in the second hand market as they brought out a twin turbo V8 diesel model that was a rocket ship and all those with money traded up.
Worth a look
So Bret have you upgraded to a range rover yet?
mick
Mick,
What can I say - the company bought a Mitsubishi Triton.
Strange how some things work.
Needless to say the Rangie is just waiting a few more years.
Brett
Search carsales for private ads - should find a couple.
Get online and try fowles auction group. Type in the name and model and it will list any available. There will be a few there I would suspect. Executive repos..
You are entitled to my opinion!
