Pumicestone Passage - Help needed
Hi,
Once again, I'm back from overseas and have one day (tomorrow) to go fishing with my brother. Last time I was back we went out to Pumicestone passage in the tinny and didn't catch anything at all. Obviously disappointing. It seems the last few times we've gone out we've hardly caught anything.
We usually pump yabbies and fish with those.
I would grealy appreciate if any of you who are experienced with the passage could recommend some good spots to try? Please send me a pm if you don't want to publicise here.
Also, are there any crabs around at the moment? Is it worth taking the pots out ?
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!

Re: Pumicestone Passage - Help needed
Anyone care to help?
I wish I had the time to explore a bit more but I just don't. Back for one day of fishing and then off again - I would just like to catch something this time, as you would understand, so am hoping for some helpful suggestions.
Cheers!

as normal mate,,, have a look through some of the recent posts and you'll see that a bit of weed has been effecting the water of late,,,, its nowhere near as bad as a feww weeks ago,,, but still there,,,,
flathead around buckleys,,,bridge,,,gallaghers
squire are still here in normal haunts
bream ,,, heaps of unders with a couple of legals to keep you entertained
a couple of reports showing that tailor are here one minute,,, gone the next
moses perch (unders) by the tonne
crabs,,, i have my own opinion on crabs,,, there here,, just need to know where
if you've only got the day,,, try gallaghers,,, banksia drop offs,,, the ripples on the rise,,, and you can always venture back to the bridge,, buckleys,,, cornetts drop off,,, cooks/tiger rocks on the fall
cant guarantee it,,, but you should get a feed,,, especially with this bit of freshh about
choppa
can it get any better??????????????,,,,,,,,,,,,,,http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hgG_TxEPaQE

Re: Pumicestone Passage - Help needed
Hi all,
Just got back and cleaned up after a day on the water at Pumicestone.
It was a really nice day to be on the water, but unfortunately the fish weren't cooperating. We ended up catching only 1 legal whiting and a few pesky junevile whiting and bream.
We tried gallaghers, but no success at all. We started at gallaghers point and drifted down as far as the rocks, casting up against bribie side. Is this the right location for finding flatties at gallaghers?
We had the crab pots out also but only netted one crab - a legal muddie. Is anyone else catching crabs at the moment? I was surprised by the lack of them today.
All in all, an enjoyable day but hopefully next time I'm back in the country, we catch a few more
