    Old girl yella'

    G'day all,

Was working out in the Moonie River near St George in western Qld. We were tagging yella's so had a few nets out and this old girl popped up. She was chock full of roe (in september) and went 4kg. Not a bad yella for a small creek with a bit of fishing pressure i thought. Will be interesting to see where she moves and if she comes back to the same watehole.

Any way, thought I would share. Pitty i didn't catch it though.

    Cheers
    Dave

Hi Dave thanks for posting mate. How's the Moonie looking water wise?
    Are there many pigs around?

4kgs is a nice Yella thats for sure.

Keep us posted with the Tagging Data mate it will be interesting.

    Cheers Lyndon.

Fat for a river fish. Usually get the slimmer models out that way.
I only really started seeing the really big fat ones when I started fishing impoundments.

    Ripper Yellowbelly oldsalty!

She'd be fun on light tackle (1-2kg tackle).
