No rocket launcher rod storage/transport options

Rainy has no rocket launcher and I'm not keen on a cheep aluminium or plastic version and s/s is just not worth the $$$ in my opinion.

I have 6 rod holders but between me and those fishing with me, there may very well be more rods than that to cover options that may arise on any given day..... trolling, jigging, bottom bashing, flicking sp's etc.

So my question is what other ideas or options are people using short of just shoving them in the cabin?

Comments and especially pictures would be appriciated.

    cheers,
    michael

If you post a pic of your internal lay out eg. looking from the helm back i may have a idea! I personally keep any rods that dont fit in the rocket launcher in the cabin as placing rods in rod holders on the gunnels just give them to much of a bath in salt spray, but for you rod holders across the transom or in the bait board may be the go!

    Michael,,

the first NEW boat I had was a cruisecraft reefraider, I had the bugger for three months before I put it in the water. That time was spent sorting out things like rocket launchers, kill tanks, live bait tanks, lure lockers, tackle stations etc. There is nothing wrong with alloy rocket launchers (stainless are very exxy) - It cost me about $3k - but in consultation with a good boating accessory manufacturer (and i dont mean a marine dealer) I got exactly what I wanted. Just be specific in your needs. make sure you can reach the rods in the launchers. They are better up there than flopping around in a cabin or on the floor. Make sure they have secure points for lanyards to keep em there in adverse conditions. Also make sure the tubes are big enough to take some of the oversize lower grips that some rods have...pain in the arse in a big sea trying to get em out or in. (sorry for the long winded post....im a short arse and have a real prob with a lot of rocket launchers on boats, i shut up now).

    Hey Michael,
I just bought a tabs boat with a bait board & rocket launcher combo already mounted at the back.... has rubber tubes/piped running down from the bait board to the back to allow washdown of the board without the bait bits going everywhere, and removable plastic/teflon removable cutting board. easy to use & clean.....

    Cheers
