BRISBANE PILOTAGE AREA
LOCALITY: MORETON BAY - HARRY ATKINSON ARTIFICIAL REEF
ACTIVITY: REEF MATERIAL DEPLOYMENT OPERATIONS
Mariners are advised that reef material deployment operations are to be undertaken at the Harry
Atkinson Artificial Reef approximate position latitude 27° 24.45'S longitude 153° 18.65'E.
Deployment will commence from Friday 17 October 2008 and will continue on an occasional
basis for a period of up to 3 years. Material will be transported to the site by barges primarily
operated by the Port of Brisbane Corporation.
A least depth of 5.0m LAT will be achieved over the deployed reef material.
Advisory broadcasts will be made upon request by "Brisbane Harbour" on VHF Channel 13,
immediately prior to a deployment operation.
Mariners are required to keep clear of the area during reef material deployment operations.
