Brissy River Virgins Need Help

Going to try Brissy river Saturday morning, launching boat at Colmslie ramp.
Could anyone plaese tell us were there are any good fishing spots near that ramp and please talk very simple as we are VIRGINS to the river.

not sure were that ramp is bud but i haved fished from gateway to the mouth and caught good flatties alond the bank neer any creeks or structure caught plenty of cod and snapper around walfhs and jets also lots and lots of bream in the river (but not really my species of choice) just look out for the shit pipes.

head towards the mouth of the river and flick around the pylons. watch the exclusion zones near the port.
other than that - explore and find your own spots...

Hi Rollie, the River can be frustrating at times with areas fishing well one week and not the next ... the key to fishing the river is finding the baitfish ... be prepared to do some hunting around and you should be rewarded.
