Hey guys,
last night i noticed that my new yamaha 25hp 2st is leaking oil,
Its coming from just below the lower unit, under the prop.
There isnt heaps but its there, luckilly there was something under the motor to catch the oil, just seems odd to me, i never had this problem before...
is it an issue or could it be the result of the 25:1 oil ratio running the motor in...
any advice is appreciated,

What colour is it? if it's black most likely to be as you say unburnt 2 banger oil.
But if it's brown and milky then it's your gearbox oil.
So to be sure check your gear box oil for any leaks or water contamination.

Expires every year and you get a 3 day pass when you go interstate.
most likely unburnt fuel/oil mix. It often seeps out from around/under the prop, particularly if you flush the outboard in a drum/can/bag etc.
