Furuno 585 worth the extra $800.00

I'll be buying "Rainy" a new fish finder on Monday. Is it worth the extra $800.00 odd dollars for a bigger screen of a 585 over a 620 as I'll probably not be using a 1kW transducer after extensive discussions with Furuno tech's............

I have a 585. The extra screen size helps my old eyes. I can only suggest you try them in "Demo" mode side by side at the dealers & get the one you like.

I use a 585. Look at them side by side and I think you will have your answer

If you can afford the extra bucks, go the 585. Apart from the bigger screen you will have the option of upgrading the transducer at a later date if you change your mind. People upgrade from a 620 to a 585, never the other way round !

hi can anyone help me me out a bit please i have a furuno 585 im not sure if im using it right my bottom screen is really red hard to read bottom and see fish do i need to adjust the white line for it to work cheers its all new to me i hope ive bought a good unit as ive had no luck with it so far.
