80 Series Landcruiser

Hi all,

just wondered if any one on the Gold Coast could recomend a mechanic who could do some work on my 80 Series turbo diesel Cruiser............Iam over the current guy !!

go around and check out the different mechanics steer clear of the ones that pat you on the shoulder and smile and say we can fix that but when you find a cranky one he obiously isn't getting paid enough try him. I am talking about the owners of the buisness not the employees. hey I know a really good place at wauchope called fixitor they are 4x4 specialist. When I was up there many years ago I found some nice mechanics around Berley Heads area.

have you tried brian at palm beach currumbin autos he did his time with toyota and works for himself now mainly on toyotas he does all my work on my bundera good guy and charges are reasonable for the work he has done

Sean at South east 4x4.. city lynks at nerang.... Honest work shop, no messing about...should be in the yellow pages..I get my 4.2TD 1HZ worked on there..

I'll also suggest you consider Sean Calseno at South East Qld 4x4 7 Rycroft St Carrara which is off Eastlake St 55227233 There are only two mechanics there so no half skilled operators. They have email too if you want to talk to them that way.

I had work done on my GQ and Sean did it and was happy for me to hang around while he did the work

Seren, yeh that,s where I have been going for years, and Dean,s a good guy however he turned over a few staff and mistakes happen. How long since you got work done there ?

I guess I don't want apprentices working on my car

Yeah Chimo, still on crutches, maybe until Xmas, have more xrays in 2 weeks that will tell the real story,........got a mate working out a way to get me back in the boat at the moment.
