We where out last night at our little spot with the Nor-easter, had a ball with the snapper.Hey Pete looks like most of the fisho's are Bannana Benders, we better be careful what we say.

Yeah Pete, sure is a great spot.
Crossing the bar is pretty high-anxiety, unless it is very flat. The channels change on a weekly basis and are generally very ill-defined. Must admit I've learned to be very cautious in my approach..........
When I am in a position to 'semi-retire', hopefully only a few years away , I look forward to launching out of Coffs through the week. Should be a lot more enjoyable!

yep most folk on here are Qlders, but they are a fantastic bunch and this is a fantastic site!

Hand up also for North Beach and Always will be.

Use Mylestom, as only locals know of North Beach.

Crossing at the bar is for experienced anglers only and Nigelr does it more than most.

There is also a few Ausfishers in Urunga. A few of fish locallly, and do the impoundments in QLD on a regular basis.

Hi Trevand Nigel,
Yeah you both live in good fishing areas.
Trev I got a mate Mat who goes by the name NIGHTSTALKER, he fishes up your way a lot.I normally fish out of Scotts Head,won't touch the Nambucca BAR,.Ihave a5.5Milligan Fibreglass but still put it off the beach's,I have a naval retriver winch 15/1 ratio. Pull up anything.
Yes I do fish N/E for Snapper, have a special weapon I drop over back that keeps the bait around. Works a lot better at night.

Very beautiful part of the world there, Lew.
Never looked seriously at the bar at Nambucca, Urunga is bad enough, Nambucca river is a considerably larger body of water.
Shelleys' looks a lot kinder, in a s'therly at least.

I just noticed your on line.
Shelley's ok as long asit is not high tide,if your 4x4 is still on sand they both sink,my Nissan Patrol won't even pull it out. forget our Bar the pro's won't even use it.I have seen two many go down the gurgler.
