Kim, peter's and fellas,
Foxie doesnt have hollwbellys as such, BUT he has another couple of plastics that are almost identical. The pick is the Manns Hardnose, which I believe are as good as hollowbellies. As the name says the hard nose helps hold the hook in position better. I like the action and I can guarantee they catch fish! I find they are stronger and more robust in general, although their colours are not as refined as hollowbellys
The name of the other brand escapes me...something ....lichous!! I haven't had a chance to use them yet but they look absolutely superb....the best colours too. Very very very similar to hollowbellies and hardnoses.
Big Ren, thanks for explaining slim beauty for me. Its a great little knot. I have been meaning to buzz you and barby boy Benny for a chat, but I have been working and crook. PM me you mobile again...I wiped my PM tray the other day and forgot to write it down!! you too Ben.
As for trebbles, Just leave the WHOLE trebble in your finger (or wherever you have been stung)...we or the hospital will be able to get it out one way or anoother
Cheers steve
Thanks Steve,
Great info (as usual).....
Speaking from experience (with trebbles) I cut mine short only so I could continue fishing - what can I say, it was a hot bite and I did manage a 97 with the trebble barb in my thumb!
But the hospital did rous on me big time and the doc had to go on a cutting and digging expedition to get the offending bit of metal out of the digit.....
So listen to the paramedic - leave as much of the trebble hanging out as possible
Pete
PM sent Stevo.

Hey Steve,
They are called Dolphins aren't they?
Hey Trev,
Ha Ha I might use them in ABT..see what the conditions produce...Frogs might even be the go I have a couple of packs if Hollwbellies just in case. I just wanted to let people know about other similar products they may not have seen yet (ie hardnoses and shadilcious).....i doubt this little black duck will derail the hollowbelly juganaught.
I havent spoken to Woodsy yet, how did you go??
cheers mate Steve
My thoughts on Monduran....As jason says uneducated fish...they must be.. We fished a bit in "B"... Boats boats and more boats... lost count of how many boats in there but there fishing etiquette leaves a lot to be desired... We where tied up to a tree fishing a point not only did they travel between us and the point they fished it as well... And when a fish was caught ... like bees to a honeypot...
Bloody rude blowflies......by the time you tell them to bugger off it's too late, the fish have been spooked.....
Gidday Trev
You must have been fishing Gay Bay as Foxie and Steve call it....every man is on top of each other.
The bees are thick in B Bay that's for sure.......we have fallen victim to the invading hordes more than a handful of times. Apparently two smoke engines, loud noise and bad banjo music do not put the barra down
