by pipi, I guess you mean those shellfish on the Beach?, and as far as I know you can get them all year (they don't exactly look like high speed migraters to me) and low tide is by far the best for getting them, make sure you abide by any Laws regarding how many you can take and you will have no problems.
And dont bother looking around brisbane if your from around here, theres none.

what none around Brissy? have they been cleaned out or just disappeared?
Same for goldie..... I remember doing the "pippie wiggle" on an outflowing wavelet and finding a pippi or two, no matter where you stood as a kid. Now at least around 1st avenue - I dont think I have seen / found a pippi in years.

I am not from that area at all, but in my neck of the woods I doubt you would find a Beach that did not have some! that's why I asked if there just is none, or they have been wiped out.
Get a few around the bedrooms but not every trip. When I say a few I mean a few. I remember...................
