Thread: Yalta Owners Club-aka-Roll Call

    Re: Yalta Owners Club-aka-Roll Call

I wonder if some Yalta Craft owners can give me a bit of history on the hulls such as:

    - Are they original designs or copied from elsewhere?
    - Timeline for hulls. Which models where produced when and numbering eg. 535 = 1800, 555=2000 etc?

Lounge Lizard you may be better off giving them a call. Do a search on here as the number is here somewhere. George from Yalta is pretty approachable if you can get hold of him. He has given me some good info each time I have talked to him.

It's my 3rd boat bought her from original elderly owner (like new was his pride and joy, now mine) best rough water boat I have ever been in.

Just realised that I haven't put a pic of my Yalta in this thread yet so here it is. 555HC

After talking to 4 button arnie a while back about rod storage I decided to have a crack at his idea. Think it should work nicely.

I ran into George at Tin Can at Easter. He loves his boats and talking to owners. They are built tough too. He is talking about doing a 7.2 -7.4M. He already has a mould he was going to modify.

I reckon there might be a bit of interest if he runs a couple off.

With a hard top and full screens standard would be awesome.

http://www.boatsales.com.au/boats-fo...&Ridx=0&eapi=2 was wondering if the 70HP 4strk on the back would be under powered or not? Going to look at one on Saturday...

    Re: Yalta Owners Club-aka-Roll Call

Yeah I reckon the 70 would struggle. I have the next size up and have the 115 on mine. Goes OK but aint no rocket ship. I reckon a 115 Suzuki would go pretty good on that hull. 90 might be OK??? They used to package the 535 (1800 allrounder) and 555 (2000 fisherman) up at marine tune with a 115 v4 yammy 2 stroke.

Here is a review of one from a couple of years ago.
    http://www.marinews.com/boating/boat...ll-rounder/12/
Mine is the next size up and is about 200kg heavier for the hull only and it runs well with the 115hp both in 2 stroke and 4 stroke. It may be worth looking at a bigger motor but not sure how much you are spending.

Looking at around 35K mate and trading my current tub in.

    Re: Yalta Owners Club-aka-Roll Call

Have you though about the next size up? I see Coastal has a 555 for $32k with the 130hp 2 stroke. Does the $35k include your trade or is the value of that on top of the $35k? If you have the trade up your sleeve I would negotiate the bigger boat down and see if you can trade the current donk on it for a new 4 stroke. That boat is for sale for the same price that mine was a year ago and mine was an 09 model. I can PM my purchase price if you like for information.

I am open to anything at this point in time ozynorts. 35K includes my trade in. I got 20K plus hoping to get around 15 for mine.

Do you have a link for that 555?
