hi all
just wondering how many people here will be trying to catch these brutes this summer? i'll be going every chance i get! (weather allowing).
if there is a few of you who would like to know some tips &tricks let me know, & i will post a thread about fishing for them. everything that i have learn't over years fishing for them.

Ronnie, I'll be out there with you, I really need to get into a massive one this year. I'll have to get you to show me how you made your squid light.
Picked a few up the other day in Halifax bay, the best went 86cm and then these pair in the mid 70's for a double hook up, got a by catch of 1/2 dozen doggies to go. Should be a good summer for sinking a few live baits and holding on! Got to love living in the north and fishing like this all year round!

Keen to do a few inshore night trips this years around the islands for these fish...
While you are at it please help me catch some squid....
I'll definately have a go, probably around christmas when I get more time. Still waiting to get a good one. Trying to perfect the technique in catching and using live squid. Always open to advice on what works for others.
