I have caught cobes, kingies,aj's, snapper, trevs, snapper, mackeral. Lures were 4 and 5 inch gulp placcys and really light jig heads. Fish at high tide as close to the wash on the eastern side, takes some nerve though as you are riding over swell which is close to breaking. Take care. Also the northern side is productive.Fish in about 10 meters of water. The western side has a big drop off which is also good but very snaggy. Hope this helps.

Geeze mate you've done alright, i fished the southern side one perfect day and couldn't catch anything, it was full tide and no swell, do you fish it late afternoon/early morning to get a catch like you said??
Dawn and dusk are best, but the secret is to get in as close to the white water, which really only happens when theres a bit of swell. The white water creates a safe place for the fish to hunt, and the high tide lets the bait feed as well over the rocks!
Cheers

Thanks should be good hopefully we can pick up some nice fish

Yeah ben is spot on. Usually have 2 people in the boat myself and 1 drives the boat while the other fires casts in to the wash. Ben
