in the local rag today 2 brisbane men were caught using a fishing net in leslie dam, they had 20 fish in the net(this was over a week ago),
Then 2 locals were fishing in the same area yesterday and and found another net, with over 200 leagal size fish in it, with about 180 being dead,
the fisheries believe the net belonged to the 2 men caught the previous week,
i hope they throw the book at them

either a big fine but im sure if a few locals caught em in the act they wouldnt go back for a while

they were cat fish , silver perch and goldern perch, there was one carp and 1 turtle

verdict in court ....judge says ...boys please dont do that again... sentence..smack on wrist....fine $10 ....no conviction recorded.. thats our court system at moment really sad .as one of the other members said let the locals at these oxygen theives for an hour. problem fixed real quick

There's crap like this going on, yet 300 odd redfishers can't get their covictions removed for fishing in the wrong spot without knowing any better. Then there's the others who all get slapped with a $1000 plus dollar fine for doing fishing in a green zone on the GBR with a line.

These fools rock up, net a bloody fresh water rivers, intentionally killing hundreds of natives and they get $10, where's the justice in that. Verry poor form from our legal system.
