Wireless home phones bad news
Wireless home phones are being used by a lot of people these days, they are convenient to use.
I had gotten to know a guy who has ham radio, you know those big antennas stuck up on some roofs you see around.
The story he was telling me was that he could hear every conversation in his immediate area from wireless home phones.
I had a neighbor behind me with this ham radio and on some conversations I would every so often get third party comments like “oh really” or “you don’t say” cause some one was on the line with us.
This guy was telling me that if any one wanted credit card details that get punched into the wireless key pad by you that they only need to recorded it and play it back over the phone at your expense.
So I’m just giving people a heads up on this illegal activity by dishonest people.
So next time when you order your fishing gear over the phone using that credit card do it on a wired phone.

Re: Wireless home phones bad news
Scanning phone frequencies has been around since wireless phones began. Unfortunately they do not need to be within several hundred metres with some of the newer 2.5ghz mobiles around. Some of these have capabilities of 500m or more. Sometimes a greater range can be a greater sacrifice.
Also I have heard of people scanning mobile phones for keypad entries as the signal is sent to the towers. How they crack into any account connection I do not know.
Jack.
