Go the Cruise Craft any day, much better boat, better resale. Better proformance. Stern drives are a nightmare when things go wrong will cost you thousand of dollars to fix. The theodore run pretty wet, and have a really low bow when going slow.

God these 685's are becoming as common as muck!!!

    How do they compare in

    - performance
    - fuel economy
    - price
    - resale value

I don't have any experience in inboards, but the comment re associated problems rings true.

When researching my own purchase, the resale of CC, Haines and Seafarer stood out. This is an area that will chew huge dollars over the years.

The 685 is a really, really, solid performer on the water, too.

    Cheers,

It was sitting in the back of my mind to say "go the 250!"

I'm glad you did. my 685 performs like a Ferrari (maybe a slight exaggeration...) with the 250 V-Rod. Every time I accelerate I get a great big smile. I said smile!

You have bought a wonderful boat. Enjoy it, you can't take the money with you, and you most definitely don't want to be leaving it to the kids! See you on the water.

    Cheers,
