I am hoping that someone can refresh my memory on how to access the above river which from memory is somewhere North of the Service Station near Kennedy.
It would be about 20 years since my last visit to this river and can remember turning off the Bruce Highway just around Kennedy, heading along a cane headland and launching the boat down a cutting in the bank using a 4WD.
Since returning to Cairns I have travelled past Kennedy a few times and can't seem to locate or remember where to turn.
Can anyone help me with where the turn-off is (how far north or south of the Servo at Kennedy), is the dirt cutting still OK to use and anything else that may be related to spending some time on this river.
My only memory of the last trip was a pretty big croc sitting on the bank and some decent fishing being had.
I have a few weeks holiday coming up and wouldn't mind spending a little time around this spot.
I also hope that I have recalled the name Murray River correctly.
Might be too late, but the 'Fish Finder' book has a ramp on Bluff Road which turns off the highway between Kennedy and the Murray River bridge. Also theres a ramp on Bedford Crk Rd which is off Rockingham Rd which turns off the highway north of the murray at Euramo.
