Well done Scoota. Nice 20 kg cobe. Sounds like a bloody good day when you get some decent fish and get to search/rehash some ground
Whats that deck winch doing. I've got some harden up tabs here mate .
Cheers Scott
Had the chance to do a Wednesday fish with Andrew and his soon to be returned to the motherland brother inlaw "Irish" for a fish and explore some new grounds, old unfished grounds and marks we have aquired off Bribie and Caloundra.
A not so early start as we had livies on the mind for the main course which we accumulated many for live, dead and strip baits for the day.
Tried a few favourite spots for not a bad result and landed a nice cobia before going in search.
The day just got better weather wise all day and traveling between spots was a non beer spilling adventure for me and Irish while Andrew just kept us dropping lines over on new grounds.
Fish kept:- Snapper, Pearl Pearch, Moses Pearch, Venus Tusk Fish, Cobia, Hussar,Bonito, Flathead and Sole.
Fish released:- Squire, heaps of undersize Pearlies, Grassy Sweeties, Rosy Jobfish,Sergent Baker, Grinners and cod.
Was looking forward to an evening snapper attack but the 20 knot northerly sent us home early but happy with our catch.
The lads had the knifes going before I could get some pics today but a couple of pics of the cobia fresh off the hook.
Scoota...

Scott, save the good tabs for when we go exploring the 200 to 800 metres when the new 1kw transducer turns up for Andrews new Furuno 585 but in the mean time the winch deploys the berley bomb perfectly
Scoota...
I see , now i am blind, i think.
When that happens mate can i maybe be in tow. The old JRC 81 still pings nice at 300m.
Go the Deckies if some one wants to get rid of a couple of kings for the right $.
Cheers Scott
