yeah u may get lucky but its def better once it warms up, gonna chase a few meself..............not sure how you'll go on the beach, but from the boat i just keep all the old bait, buy heaps of tuna oil, and them real tuna blocks, chook pellets, mash it all up then put it all into two litre milk cartons and freeze em, then take as many as u see fit for the night, cut the carton open stick it in a orange sack and get it in the water, float the baits back and wait for the greatest sound eva...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

your mind is like a parachute, it only works when its open

im keen to get on to em too this summer

i tried down behind the convention center at broadbeach last week but i found the current was too strong and i was having to wind in every 30 secs - 1 min.

where are some good place to try for em either land based or from a tinnie?

keep trying, they are everywhere down here.
I find them more prevalent in shallower water up to 2-3ft deep with a slow current in the upper reaches of canal systems.... just watch out for the bitey end as they are very 'snappy'

What do you intend to do with the shark if you catch one?

If its small enough, eat it.

Are there any particular spots in the canals that are better to try than others?
