i thought the qld records around 16kg or somthin like that
Hey im just wondering the qld snapper record, reason being at work the other day there was a bit of an argument on the topic 1 fella said that the record was like 12 and a half kg, i recon it has to be bigger tho, check the snapper in my avatar that went around the 11-12 kg surely someone on here that lives in qld has topped the snapper in my avatar.
i had a quick search but couldnt find it.

Here you go pete, we got him from wide caloundra in 340 feet of water, bugger all fight mainly dead weight hardest part was netting him trying to fit his knob in the net. good luck hope you snag one soon.

Depends what record your talking about?
Qld GFAA snapper records as far as i can tell are
Male 2kg ..4.1 kg
Male 3kg...5.36kg
Male 6 kg...8.6kg
female 4kg..4kg
female 6kg...7.4 kg
junior 3kg..5.36
junior 4kg...6.8kg
The all line class australian GFAA is 16.2 kg from Cockburn Sound WA
But remember these are only submitted fish the biggest local snapper i know of came fron the Bulwer ledge at 14.19 kg and of course it was caught using a PLASTIC!!!!
Alcohol doesn't agree with me, but i sure do enjoy the argument!!!
