    Lowrance Fuel Flow Meter

    Hi all,
Looking at setting up a fuel flow system to my Lowrance LCX. Just wondering if anyone has one of these and where i could pick one up from on, preferably the sunshine coast or brisbane.
    Cheers, Dougy

If you search these threads you will find more answers, try EP10.

Have a look at the fuel flow from your tank to engine. The fuel sensors have a minimum flow rate to operate correctly.

I think 60hp is about the minimum size you can get away with for it to function correctly.

Mine is on a 50 horse 4 stroke and it works well. It is the ep10 and while it took a bit of setting up , I now dont have any prob with it. Mine cost $120 and purely because I dont have to fillthe tank to know how much fuel I used, its probably saved that (in knowing how much I have for the little trips)

I was looking into the EP60 but was steered away from them by the dealer who we bought our boat from because he says you cannot reset the fuel used back to zero after a trip. Is this true?
He then tryed to steer me to a Northstar Fuel210 Which looks to be a similar type of item. They stock the Lowrance gear, but not the Northstar! Work that one out!
    Has anyone used these?
Have i been tricked by the dealer?

I had trouble with getting my trip meter to reset when I first set up my ep60 but after a couple of calls to lowrance tec guys who hadn't had this issue befor, was eventuraly able to sort it out now it works a treat.

I had the same problem as a babe in the woods on first start-up regarding the bus message, from memory the cure is to reset to default or a menu along those lines. It needed to be manually forced toward what sensor to take note of, so not strictly plug n play in my instance.
It has been good ever since although a little complicated to get the hang of compared to the navman gauge.

    cheers fnq

they are very accurate once you understand how they work, just rember each time you fill the tank to add fuel at the head unit, once you do this they are very good, mine is now within a litre of what the boat used.

Just a heads up, fill the tank on after first install, otherwise you will find it all over the shop, you can however reset them to to their default setting.

I Spoke to Rob as well about the same issue. Those guys are great and very eager to help. I have an EP10 and am about to do battle with it and a few other Lowrance toys on my tub.

    Re: Lowrance Fuel Flow Meter

I havent really tried to reset the fuel left part of the setup as I am happy enough remembering the figures last time I filled the tank, but as an example, it said I used 23l yesterday and I put 22.4l into the tank.
