    sunday arvo

    hi all,

headed down to the spot my brother-n-law went 3 weeks ago where he got 8, 50cm+ jacks. well no jacks today, but being my only 2nd time fishing with sp's in a creek i had a ball caught 7 little cod, 4 on atomic 4" prong(pearl core shot),
3 on atomic 5" fat grub (gold). the tide was all wrong for the jacks so we are going to hit it again on fri nite.

Sounds like fun Ron. Was that the spot you were telling me about on Tuesday night? At least the plastics are starting to work for you. At first though, you'd think why would a fish eat a peice of rubber, surely they won't work, but if you think about it, they try and eat hard peices of plastic and timber so why wouldn't they eat rubber.

We got a very nice haul of crabs from the Bohle on Sunday arvo, but it cost me a pot, some big brute crushed it.

Good effort guys. One day I will try these pieces of rubber............still dirty smelly bait is my choice. Maybe thats why i can't catch a JACK
I think soon the water will warm up a bit and the jacks will be on.............HOPE, HOPE and HOPE
Hopefully I can catch my first legal Jack this year...................I might have to sneak up on you to check out your landbased spot. He! He!
