wat ever lure it is i want to see a lure u have had for a while and has caught u countless fish on em. i am still trying to find a pic on my little smith towadi that has almost no paint on it (and there very hard to scratch) and finally got cracked after countless seshions of getting 40 bream a day on this 1 lure
Here's a couple of battle scarred retired lures Nut.
The pink one is a 15cm Leads lure that took 11 Spaniards in a day, it was the only lure in the spread that took hits! 18 fathom reef, Gold Coast.
The two big fellas are my home madeys, 30cm long and tough as nails. The battle scars on these are from Wahoo, Barracuda, Green Jobs, Dogtooth, and Yellowfin from a 10 day trip to Cato and Wreck. There's still a bit of a tooth in one of these babies.!
The other little fella is another one of my own jobs, 5cm long, caught countless numbers of estuary fish, thought I'd retire him on a high note.
I hate losing a lure that is really battle scarred, I'd rather retire them and use another lure.
There's something special about a battle scarred lure, especially when you make them yourself.
Cheers, Jeff.

Heres 2 photos. one is from 1 trip trolling at Awoonga in 2006. plenty of trebble marks...but plenty of barra scars too...
the other is one that got away at Faust in heavy timber....It was big! (as they always are when they get away!) That was from 2004. Unfortunatly I hadn't heard of the word OWNER back then!!!
I had a laser pro 45 that I caught my first 2 jacks with.
It also landed a fair few flatties up to 80cm.
Then a mud crab decided it liked it.
It was split from front to back, it even ripped one of the trebles off.
No pics though unfortunately. I bought another in exactly the same colour and have not caught a fish with it.....
Cheers and thanks.
