Re: cabbage tree creek trolling hardbodies

Nico, I am going to try to get there, I went shooting last weekend, I am playing motorbikes this weekend, the missus may want me around next weekend to remember what I look like. I will print out a photo of myself and put it on my pillow next weekend and see how I go, but if she works out it isn't really me, I could be in trouble. I'll let you know later next week - fingers crossed.

Dirty - what about your responsibilities to fishing mate??? - It's all about priorities LOL and I dunno about you, but I have made the dog house really comfortable at my place.

    LuckyStrike,

Hightide, or a couple of hours either side of it is best for Cabbage Tree. I would recomend trolling from the ramp. You can only go 6knots anyways so going a little slower with a couple of lures behind you isn't going to change much I prefer casting over trolling myself and I usualy head upstream from the ramp and fish most of the promising looking banks on the way untill I am sick of it lol.. I do know a LOT of people catch flathead at the mouth of the creek and just inside nunda Creek.

I fished it Sunday morning (low tide I know, it was the only time I could get out for a fish). My mate took his kids out that morning also. He managed 1 flathead for the boat at 40cms caught in 2foot of water, I managed to drop a flathead at the boat about same size in a similar depth. I also managed 1 32cm Bream on a very very slow troll with a plastic in 6foot and a small tailor flicking into a bait bustup.

    Hope this helps mate.

    Cheers
    Brandon...
