    Daiwa Battler Kingbolt

Quick Question. What sized reel would be better suited to a Daiwa Battler Kingbolt TD-BA 681 MLFS lenght 6 foot 8?

Was thinking of putting a new 1000 stradic fh which i have sitting in the cuboard at home but then I am thinking maybe it is a little small for this particular rod.

    what are your thoughts?

Yeah a little small, they are thin rods though and don't weigh much so it may balance. I have a Taurus and a Sparrow and use Sol 2000's on them. The Kingbolt is a little heavier being 4-10lb so a 2000 - 2500 would be ideal ... sweet rod by the way and more power than the ratings suggest.

    I agree, 2000 - 2500. I think a 2000 certate would go well. It's a nice rod and deserves a nice reel. Maybe a new heartland perhaps?

i use a pflueger trion tornament rod paired with a shimano symetre 1000 reel and goes great easy casting lures pb's sp, 39cm bream squidgy wriggler in the lava colour and hb yet to catch a decent fish but best of 57cm flathead on the sx 40f ecogear
