    Brisbane River this morning.

After looking at Seabreeze last night & seeing that the rest of the week was looking pretty ordinary I decided to throw the Explorer in this morning to see if I could pick up a few Bream on my new outfit. Last week I bought a Diawa Luvias 2000 & a Pfleuger Supreme rod for fishing plastics & wanted to get out while the weather was still ok. I ended up on the water at 7.45 as there was traffic on the gateway & decided not to go too far & have a go at a few of the floating barges in the river. On about my third cast I got hit but didnt manage to hook up. A few casts later & I was on to a nice little Bream. He went 26cm to the fork & was happy to have christened my new outfit. After a few more hits & his twin brother in the boat I decided to move over & have a go at the rockwall at Pinkenba. I fished there for about another hour with no action at all so decided to head home. On the way back I had another go at the barge & landed another Bream about the same size as the other 2. I have only been fishing with plastics for a couple of months & am happy to finally starting to get some results. Looking forward to getting out next & trying with some hard body lures. Any advice on what & how to use them would be greatly appreciated.

Nice bit of kit there Bully1. They're nice rods those Supreme's and the Luvius is a sweet little reel. good to get a few on the scoreboard early.
    cheers Roo.

Well done. At least you didn't come away empty handed. Look forward to hearing how your new combo handles larger specimens.
