Well we fished for a few hours in the Haughton this morning for the grand total of one catefish, one stonefish and three undersize crabs. But it beats teaching maths I reckon.

Hey thanks Ron. I know the spot you mean and I've caught barra there before. Today was more of a quick trip just to get the tinny wet and try out the new floor I put in. All went well.
at the mouth of burrumbush creek sometimes you can catch big grunter, & if you go up it a fair bit there is rocks, be carefull of the big salty.

Hey Ron, we did try at the mouth of Burrumbush and that's where I got the catty!! How far up are the rocks and the Salty?
we seen a 16ft'r just after that island in burrumbush on the left hand side of the bend, the rocks are a fair way up they are on the right hand side of the creek & there is a little bit of clearing also, not a bad spot for jacks, barra.
if you go up there keep a open eye out as there is a few croc's up that creek.
