Bloody flu-anyone fished Redcliffe lately?

G'day.
Well after a good month and a bit of being loaded down with flu(which the bloody press did very well to keep out of the papers during Ekka season despite the amount of people who ended up at hospital with it) I finally feel up to having a bit of a throw.

I was thinkin' Redcliffe, but I've never seen anyone catch anything big there.

What about Scarborough? Any magic places I can try? I prefer using live worms and I really want to catch something decent.

I'll probably be picking up bait from Carseldine. And I am fishing off bank only-no boat.

I went there last week cause we had a friend from canberra up and we were catching legal bream. Redcliffe jetty that is, there not that big of a fish but there fish non the less.

whiting should be in at margate beach now on a rising tide either early morning or late arvo

I would probably hit Queens beach or poles hole area for whiting. This time of the year is still about a month early for summeries to be worth chasing. Poles hole area probably will give you the biggest variety of possibilities with flathead whiting flounder bream tailor and squire all possible from the beach there.

I've been catching a few tailor off Scott's Point lately when there's a low tide around dawn. Quality isn't much with most fish just above legal. Should be fishable from about Tuesday to Friday this week. Haven't tried the dusk session, only dawn. Dusk would be fishable from today until about Wednesday.

Poles hole is the northern end of the next beach south of Queens Beach, Scotts point is the southern end of Margate Beach.
