    Tweed river jack advice?

    Hi all,
    looks like iv got the chance to fish the tweed over xmas and just loookin to see if im anywhere near the mark.Unfortunately looks like ill fish the new moon or couple days after.Planning on fishing last of the down tide,2am till 7am ish.been lookin down round the mouth on google earth,rock walls? then just upstream a couple bridges,t jetties.mostly planning to fish bubble pops,chug a bugs then softies,prongs 3" and prawnstars.Hoping this is somewhere near the mark.Are the ramps ok to leave ur car at this time of the morning?all fish catch n released.though have to actually catch first Any help appreciated,navigational hazards etc.the mouth looks good for trevally as well?

    yes you are on the mark with your plans. if fishing the mouth I would recommend only fishing the run in tide as it moves along there fairly quick and the swell rolls in too (even breaks on the southern bank opposite the Jack Evans Boast Harbour - and yes, plenty of Trevally in that area.

    Leaving the boat and trailer anywhere at night is always a worry, but it goes with the territory when Jack fishing. I use the ramp at Chinderah or Kennedy Drive and haven't had any problems to date. the downstream part of the river isn't too bad for hazzards if you stay within the channel markers.

    PM me closer to the time you are coming down and I will hopefully have found a few by then and can give you some up-to-date tips - of course Jack fishing is never a sure thing
