I've got a Penn Slammer 460 that I use for bait fishing, and I quite like it. A little bit cheaper than the Daiwa and Shimano reels mentioned, but very heavy duty. It also has a brilliant drag, better than any of the Daiwas or Shimano's I've got. But it's a bit like comparing apples and oranges. The little Penn Slammer 260 has a better drag than the 2500 Sol, and was a lot cheaper, but is heavier too.
