How the hell could I get sea sick on that thing, didn't feel like we left dry land all night! The night we went out was very flat, but when a bit of chop and swell gets up, thats when I'm despatching the "secret burley". Only happens once in a blue moon though, I used to be really terrible, the slightest roll would make me lurch, but now I'm heaps better, must be all the boating (not fishing, you have to catch fish before its called fishing) I've been doing.

I read somewhere that after all the construction has been done there will still be place for us poor landbased buggers to fish from. I am a bit pessimistic like you and think that we will be shafted once again. I had better get used to 1 hour out-of-town drives to catch a fish.

You can always try the outer wall kev, some good fish have been caught there, fishing all sides, into the duck pond, into ross creek from the main stretch, or if you walk all the way out, mackeral, trev's queenies have been caught on the outer side, fishing into the open, or again into the duck pond. The whole area accounts for some great barra too.

Not sure about you're grunter though, but you could always try the rockpool jetty, I've cleaned up on grunter there a few times, as well as the odd fingermark (not by me, my brother, I haven't caught one yet) and mangrove jack. Also tarpon, which was great sport on 6lb line. I've caught slatey's there before, so there's no reason why there wouldn't be any grassy's and cod around also, and lets not forget the barra. But this area always has a few people on it, so earlier morning might be a better option. mackeral can also be caught there I've heard (but not seen).

Then you've got Palleranda, I've never had any real success there, but I'm always hearing about some great catches from there.

is the whole of rowes bay a yellow zone???? i've always fished it so ,but noticed some anglers fishing with 2 rods ( which i prefer so i can fish one big bait or livey ) and not limit my chances of picking up a few smaller fish.
